Mineola Country Club 1932-1982
Records say that the Mineola Country Club was first incorporated in January of 1932, making this year of 1982 the 50th anniversary.
Board member Helen Wade has spent many, many hours researching old minutes, receipts and other sometimes musty records of the club. The highlights that she has gleaned from those records are most interesting, and the board felt that the membership would also enjoy this bit of local history—hence this pamphlet.
In reading through Helen's write-up one wonders how in the world the Club ever managed to survive all the problems it faced. The reason probably lies in the fact that the Club does fulfill a need of the community. And, we must say “Thanks” to all those fine folks who kept it going these fifty years.
